About Nicole
Nicole Schyns is a German artist living and working in the Netherlands.

Born to Polish parents and shaped by a life across borders, her work is informed by an ongoing exploration of belonging, place, and identity.

Nicole works with hand-foraged earth pigments and soy milk, keeping her process as natural and untouched by chemicals as possible. Her pigments are collected from landscapes around the world. Through this material-driven practice, she creates abstract paintings that reflect a deep connection to land and home.

Nicole studied Crossmedia Design at ArtEZ University of the Arts in Enschede, where her practice expanded from painting into film and visual storytelling, establishing a lasting dialogue between still and moving image.

This dialogue continues today in a practice guided by mindful ritual, natural materials, and a deep love for our planet earth.
