Hot Summer Days
On the hottest days I forgot about time. The ingrained rhythm dissolved into the heat. It didn't matter what time we ate, and I let the children play outside until the sun went to sleep. The warmth gave me permission to let go of all the rules.
This painting, the most intense and fiery one of the entire collection, is an ode to that feeling of freedom. To the heat that loosens you up and the summer days that simply unfold in their own way.
