Lying In The Meadow

Every day we could step straight out of our gîte and into this meadow. A simple walk, but one I looked forward to every single time. The crickets filled the air with sound, a vineyard stretched out alongside on the other side of the path, and for these few precious minutes there was space — real space — to dwell in your own thoughts and dreams without being interrupted. No other people, just the wildflowers, the sun and the quiet, soothing nature sounds around you.

This abstract painting invites you to drift back into that stillness. The warm texture of earth pigments I gathered myself in France, combined with a frame adorned with dried flowers from the Alps, creates an artwork that makes your shoulders drop and lets you breathe again.
