Tales of the Wild Rocks No. V
This painting owes its strong dark contrasts to the charcoal pigment of an abandoned campfire. The strikingly powerful shapes are embraced by warm gray tones of natural chalk paint. Where in one place the structure of the linen cloth is still visible, in another place the rock pigment texture is tangible.
