Tales of the Wild Rocks No. VI
A very special painting with strong contrasts. By dropping water on the warm brown rock pigment during the painting process, a beautiful natural pattern appeared on the canvas, reminiscent of raindrops on the soil of a warm summer night. Above that, light splashes of chalk paint on dark Indian ink remind of a starry sky. The beautiful structure of the linen is still visible here and there and is alternated by the unique textures of yellow rock pigment from Germany and brown rock pigment from the Netherlands.
Natural earth pigment, Indian ink and chalk paint on canvas.
